Passing my e-rating

I am a strong believer that the future of transportation is electric. I have been driving an electric car for the last 3 years and don't intend on going back to a diesel or gasoline engine.

Pipistrel (now part of Textron Aviation) has developed the Velis Electro, the first EASA certified electric airplane. It is a great training airplane. It is simple, efficient and fast. It provides an autonomy of 45 minutes which is great for training flights.

I am convinced that electric flying is here to stay and hope that it will become the new Cessna 172.

I have recorded my last training flight. The video shows the full flight including, preflight, 360 turns, emergency landings and then circuit work.

HEY, I’M SULTAN…

I am a private pilot living in the Netherlands. I used to believe that aviation was not possible for me, and that I should pursue a regular job.

Since I took the jump to learning to fly, I have had the chance to fly in Europe, Asia and the Caribbean. It has been amazing and I would like you to also experience that. Watching the world from 3000 feet or higher is an amazing feeling.
